Cheers mate, I think the website that did the monitoring is closed from 1 July 21.

Is there an android app you can use.

    Cheers

There is the shine phone app, but it will likely link to the website, so if its down I guess the app won't work either.

out of interest what was your forecasted generation for the year ? As that is what the installer would have given you.

That was the 3600kWh (approx.) that I mentioned.

Regarding data minitoring I suspect that can be a weak point in systems. Manufacturers make their money by selling/installing systems. My monitoring has been (not counting the generation meter) the inverter readout (not connected to any recording equipment) and the Immersun via the web site and app.

After Immersun stopped producing/selling diverters there was an issue for a short time but the server/website was then run by another company. I guess they bought the Immersun diverter stock to sell on but did not make any income from the server/web site/app. It too seems to have now found it's demise so another guess is that all stock is now sold and there is no cash to be made out of the app etc. Having the server/app I suppose is a good advert for sales! But purchasers have been abandoned......

Could the Shine link be similar in it's model or run by an enthusiast? Growatt no longer interested?

Does seem to me to be a weak point and open source connections might alleviate those issues.
Would be quite happy to do my own linking to data portal if onlyI had information regarding the comms and protocol etc as it is useful to have data such as Solarchaser has posted.

Myenergi might save the day for future data via their Zappi app but historical data in detail is now lost!

I wouldn’t hold your breath. MyEnergi products are excellent but the App and the MyEnergi are not as assured as I would like. Moreover, my solar generation as recorded by the meter never matches that shown in my MyEnergi account; SolarEdge Account or the Tesla App. I think that it is partly due to transmission losses and the position of CT clamps.

Yes, I find the Myenergi stats on the app pretty inaccurate too.
CT clamps are never 100% accurate but the Myenergi ones are even less accurate than some.

I only use the app to switch charge modes or set a scheduled charge and don't pay much attention to the power data.

I can understand that the Myenergi data is not as accurate as it could be.
However the CT clamps will not be to blame as they are just standard 100/5 clamps.
I note the presentation of measurements are only accurate (more correctly it's presented resolution) to 100watts (0.1kW) and suspect that approximation is the cause of any cumulative differences between other measurment systems.

For the Zappi that is probably good enough for moment to moment decision making for car charging but not for accurate generation or consuption performance data. It is fine though for approximation and showing things like seasonality and trends over a long time, surely?

I do wonder if that coarse measurement is due to an 8bit AtoD converter common to the 7kW and 22kW Zappi versions as that would equate to around 100watt resolution (given a bit of headroom in measurement) as that would be a limiting factor. It is that same resolution displayed on the device lcd screen. I rather hope it is a server limitation that might be overcome with the planned move to cloud computing.

For accurate measurement purposes I only rely on the formal generation and consumption meters. They are the most accurate  and calibrated to national standards. All the rest really are just indicative (or for functional purposes) but often that indicated power, with time correlation, fills a gap missed by the formal meters.

    Quote from heisscheme yesterday.

Installer have previously offered to make right the 0.03kw of difference and that while the certificate states 3.97kw, this is still a 4kw system.

But they did not explain that a 4kw system I was going to get less, this is my argument.

Anyway ordered a dongle for the inverter, and will connect to Growatt cloud server to give a graph as to what and when my peak output is.

    Cheers guys / gals

    Tried to edit my post.

Thanks to solarchaser for the link, which I have ordered.

Seen a yt video on how to connect with server using laptop.

    Cheers

What did the original quotation say? Bear in mind that if the installer had fitted a 4kw inverter you might have generated slightly less over the year as a whole. As others have said, inverters are usually undersized as they are more efficient than being oversized.
