How can I avoid paying for an unecessary mundic test?

It's quite a destructive test, with quite big core bits used to take samples. The OP will be left with several 3 inch holes in the side of his extension. These can be patched up easily enough, but they will still be visible until the extension is repainted. And, of course, there is no guarantee that the buyer will go ahead.
It's quite common for vendors to refuse to allow very destructive testing, let alone pay for it to be done!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1
