September - still heard absolutely nothing

    Have you contacted your MP?

    Made a formal written complaint?

Contacted the Daily Mail (see post above)?

I have just seen the above.

Have our  (justifiably aggrieved)  fellow  posters taken up the suggestion to  try the power of the press?  :)
Thanks for posting that link xylophone.

The article suggests that a great many DWP personnel have had to be diverted onto a ‘correction exercise’ due to the historical underpayment of around £2.8bn to elderly retired women.

    As Steve Webb comments

Whilst the DWP is under a lot of pressure and is working hard to sort out past state pension errors, this must not be at the expense of those retiring today.'

And in fact DWP is not offering  the exercise  (or indeed any thing else) as an excuse - neither is it offering an explanation.

A DWP spokesperson said: 'We are sorry that some new State Pension customers have faced delays receiving payment.

'All those affected have been identified and we have deployed extra resources to process these as a priority. Any claims made today should not be subject to delay.'

    Fair words butter no parsnips.

As of today mine hasn’t been dealt with either. My claim is sitting in limbo. Unprocessed. Tomorrow I email my MP sending him a copy of my complaint letter.

More power to your elbow - and I hope that your elected representative is as energetic and competent as  Rosalind's.

Yes, not all MPs are the same.
  • Just to conclude my contribution to this forum...
My pension was delayed by 7 weeks, but paid in full ultimately, and backdated.
I never managed to make contact with the DWP.
Others talk about a 6 to 10 week delay.
There is a good article on the BBC News website today, 18/09/21, which explains all.
I know that there are many of you suffering the same delays.
You will get your pensions, but obviously not on time. Dreadful situation.
    Good luck to you all!
