HSBC & First Direct app down

I don’t see it as a major deal but being as I can’t see another thread I thought I’d start one. Both my FD & HSBC apps give a connection error this morning. I expect it to be a temporary issue but only time will tell.
I've just this second received my usual text statement from FD so at least I have been able to check the balance (it’s payday today!)

HSBC app is fine here. Also payday or pension day.0

Using the FD app earlier I got a connection error message, but then all my accounts came up a moment later and it's fine now.1

I’ve just turned Wi-Fi off on my phone and was able to log into both without issue on 5G. Upon turning Wi-Fi back on I get the error when trying to log back on. Wi-Fi is working perfectly well for everything else, including other banking apps. I suppose that it’s something worth trying if you have an issue.0

Odd. My HSBC app is down, also Santander and Co-Op.
Checking my others, TSB is also down.
Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, Nationwide, Lloyds all seem to be working okayVirgin, RBS, NatWest and Barclays okay as wellI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

This is how confusion happens, comments like "the Wi-Fi is down" when there is nothing wrong with their Wi-Fi setup. It's the actual internet connection that has the problem.0

It may appear pedantic but Wi-Fi and internet, whilst interconnected are two separate things. To try and fix the problem you need to know which one has the problem. In all cases it appears nothing to do with a Wi-Fi connection but an internet one related to specific ISP(s)1 -
I get that, and obviously my wi-fi was working as I could get onto other sites. But wasn't obvious whether it was an issue with the banks or the ISPI think people use the terms wi-fi and internet interchangeablyI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
