Did you get an auto email receipt when you sent your Defence?
Does your MCOL Claim History show your Defence received?
Have you received a letter from the CCBC confirming they have sent your Defence to the Claimant?
  • Yes to auto email, yes to claim history but no letter from CCBC yet...

    OK, wait patiently.
    Nothing to be concerned about.
It will take however long it takes.
As long as you have confirmation that the CCBC has your Defence you are ok.

And by the way... there is no letter 's' in the word Defence.
  • Thanks! Is there a limit to how long they have to reply?

    Defence, defence, defencccccce.

Ask the CCBC ( or don't , they don't come here to tell us their processes ) , because you have no idea when they sent your Defence to the claimant , then the claimant has weeks to decide , so check your claim history weekly until the end of November

The wheels of justice turn very slowly , this saga will go on for 6 months or more , possibly up to a year , so lose the impatience 😁😁

    Great!  :s

    ***Update***

Received a letter today dated 18th October that DCBLegal's client has decided to press forward with the claim. They have attached their questionnaire and a "our client may be prepared to settle the claim if you contact them within 7 days".

I also have their questionnaire attached.

They have checked the box that states: Do you agree to this case being referred to the Small Claims Mediation Service.

You were expecting that weren't you?

Item 7 on that list you were following when you filed your Defence is...

Items 8 onwards on that list are worth reading again too.
  • Received Directions Questionnaire dated 7th of November. Told to return and serve by the 24th.

    Followed this today:

I'll post (physical copies?) out Monday.

Once again can I refer you to that list you were following when you filed your Defence?

    I did say earlier "
Items 8 onwards on that list are worth reading again too".

This time you need to be reading items 9 and 10 on that list which explain exactly how to dispatch those.
