Hi, recently won auction for item for £15 , only bid. seller immediately cancelled sale giving " item no longer available or damaged" reason.
I've tried to find the option to leave feedback for them but can't find it anywhere - can you leave feedback in these circumstances? if so , where will I find the option?
Thanks

Try your purchase history. If the items there there might be the option for feedback.

You haven't got anything to give feedback on - unless you want to give say 100% positive for following e-bay procedures (sale cancelled within e-bay rules and consequently no charge and no goods supplied)0

View Purchase History and then towards the bottom is cancelled orders where you'll find this transaction and be able to leave feedback. .

The problem with leaving feedback on any site, not just eBay, is that it goes two ways. And it's always word against word.
You could leave negative comments but don't forget that anyone can also leave negative comments about you in retaliation - whether true or not.
I'd let it go. You're obviously disappointed but these things happen and you haven't lost anything. With eBay, I only give feedback now if it's positive and my own score as both a buyer and seller remains at 100%.Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. If seller leaves negative comments on a positive feedback to buyer then buyer can complain to ebay. Ebay will remove the feedback and seller may well get a warning that will stay on their account for a year and potentially cause issues if they do absolutely anything else wrong afterwards.MalMonroe said:The problem with leaving feedback on any site, not just eBay, is that it goes two ways. I had thought auctions were binding under ebay's rules - seems people can look at the price they receive and decide after end of auction if they're happy with price and want to send goods.1 -
Yes it's not there - i might have thought the seller cancelled just before auction ended except that i received a " You won" email from ebayNorman_Castle said:Try your purchase history. If the items there there might be the option for feedback.0 -
Feedback cannot be left for buyers so unless OP is also a seller there is no chance of retaliatory feedback.MalMonroe said:The problem with leaving feedback on any site, not just eBay, is that it goes two ways. And it's always word against word.

Thanks for that - found it there but there is still no option for feedback. even under 'more options' it's not there. Guess they'll have to get away with this one - bit weird thoughView Purchase History and then towards the bottom is cancelled orders where you'll find this transaction and be able to leave feedback. .0
