Police 'Headered' Note on Windscreen - Parking in Service Area

Hi,
Need some advise or guidance. So I had parked my car in a serviced area (back of Iceland - where they unload deliveries) and I was only parked there for 30 mins or so. I have previously parked and never had any issues.
On this ocassion I had come back to my car and can see a note on my windscreen which is a Headered (not footed) police note stating that I should not be parking here as this is a service area / Private land. My number plate is noted down and next time my car will be clamped if seen parked here again.
I have parked here several times and I am aware it is a private area, but to what grounds is it privately owned by the businesses. The headered paper from the police got me a bit because it looks like its printed off the internet as it has no contact details as to who left the note, but only just Police at the top.
The "car will be clamped next time", I'm sure they do not have the obligation to clamp my car as I am not blocking anyone or any vehicle.
Please advise if anyone except the police can even clamp my car even if its a service area / private land?

Legalities aside wny park in a business service area.. if they have vehicles coming in/out it would be a little inconvenient for them1

The owner of the land can clamp your car or have it towed away. It's their land and you are tresspassing on it.
The note you received is not from the Police. It is someone who is trying to scare you into not parking on the land. I think you should continue to park there as it will make a good internet video when you come back to find your car clamped. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
The police wouldn't be interested in this I'm sure, I doubt they go around with scrappy note paper, and they wouldn't clamp you on private land unless maybe the car was not taxed. However why do you think you can park in a service area for 30minutes that sort of arrogance is why PPC's exist, and you are lucky to have got away with what seems to be someone trying to scare you off take the hint would be my advice.

Ridiculous note to put - "If you don't move off my land, I will make it so you cannot move off my land"1

I own a property with a private car oark in the centre of town It is protected by a rising bollard. On a couple of occasions I have locked unauthirised parkers in. One being a large van delivering vegetables to a nearby restaurant. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

I've seen one of those rising bollards in action a few years ago in the centre of Cambridge, which is a car driver's nightmare, when a RAC van was towing a broken down car. The RAC van had an electronic tag allowing him to drop the bollard and drive over it but the car did not have such a tag and was lifted up in the air by the rising bollard. The RAC mechanic was seen walking around muttering "bollards" or something that sounded quite like that!D_P_Dance said:I own a property with a private car park in the centre of town It is protected by a rising bollard. My car was not in anyway obstructing any vehicles or people. In fact I am parking in a spot which is for an Empty retail shop unitBradden said:Legalities aside wny park in a business service area.. if they have vehicles coming in/out it would be a little inconvenient for them0
