Jon2021 said:Hi does anyone know which companies offer a No Standing Charge or Zero Standing Charge Tariff, I'm on British Gas zero fixed August 2021 and I need another No standing charge or zero standing charge tariff but cant find one. They exist but most may attract minimum charges. Something like £50 per energy, which is effectively standing charge in new packaging. For most domestic consumers its irrelevant anyway as your total usage is more important. You may be able to save with a lower unit rate and a higher standing charge, or vice versa. But use your annual kWh usage figures, not what goes out your bank every month. The Energy Club has a "no standing charge" filter, but don't be surprised if it's virtually empty.1

Hi thanks for the reply managed to switch to British gas zero fixed October 2022. Called British gas who told me its not available tried live chat and the agent told me that the tariff has expired was about to give up but told him lots of people have switched to this tariff and please can he check with his seniors. Came back after 10 minutes and said he's applied to switch me to the zero fixed October 2022 tariff so if anyone who wants a zero standing charge tariff apply asap with British gas.3

Jon. You're my hero. I was in the same situation as you. I just got onto their online chat and got the same tariff British Gas 'Zero fixed October 2022'. Didn't even have to ask their agent to check. And here i was about to sign up to one with a 20p a day standing charge.0

Update: British gas didn't actually change my tariff so now I'm back on live chat. They're saying the change of tariff will take 7 to 10 days to show up on my account. So we'll see.0

I've also just switched to the Zero Fixed Oct 2022. I was surprised and delighted that they have finally produced this tariff, though I will have to wait 7 to 10 days to see if it is actually real!0

I stumbed upon this thread as well and made my request by chat to change Elec and Gas to Zero Fixed Oct 2022. That was on 13 Sept and I noticed today that the change has been applied. Happy days....0
