A very quick check in for me.  Not alot to report really other than a small PAD made of £1.18 to Lloyds CC, Payment A Day Thread updated.

Roller Skating was good, a few falls had but at least I was on stable ground watching!  Spent, £15 on skating, £4 on pop and a coffee for me - Paid for out of family fun pot, we couldnt consume our own on the premises which makes sense.  McD****s was around £30 for 4 including McF***ys and I paid for that out of my own spending.

Glad its nearly weekend, lots to sort out with Mums financial affairs being Power of Attorney since Dad died due to her Dementia.

Oh nearly forgot im finally getting my sofa delivered on Monday which we saved for and paid in full back in February.  Cant wait!

    Thats about all for now

Had a good day on Prolific today, nearly £15, with just over £3.50 cleared already. As soon as I can get to £5 will cash out.  Payments going straight to Lloyds CC.

Just chilling this evening, with the cat next to me taking up 3/4 of the sofa!🤣🐈‍⬛

    Good afternoon

Its Monday already, doesnt feel like a weekend has been had, been busy and has flown by!

I have made my PAD today of £5.62 Prolific Cashout and also £4.83 save the change, both to Lloyds CC.  Ive declared to the Payment a day Thread and updated signature.

A couple of expected Bill payments have left my account today, and again as expected im in my overdraft by around £75.  In view of overspend during last month with dad I totally knew Id be ending up there!  I get paid on Friday so im limping away to Friday and hopefully nothing else crops up, may have a little bit of grocery top up and should be no more than £10.

In other news, Ive just had my lovely (budgeted for) sofa delivered.  I literally cannot wait to finish work and get all my new cushions on.  Everytime I go downstairs to make myself a cup of tea, Im in there dreaming of how comfy i will be tonight!   :D  After everything thats gone on recently this is making me happy.

Anyway only a quick check in as I need to get back to work in less than 10 minutes so will dash downstairs put the kettle on and have another peak at my sofa!

  • Sounds like a busy day. What's your sofa look like? I love looking at home decor and planning what my future house would be like (if I ever won the lottery...)  :D

Sorry you have lost your dad 😥. I am sure you will soon get back on budget but in the meantime take some time for yourself and your mum.

@sunshine_raincloud I love it 😍. Footstool (we already had this) is totally wrong colour,  so will save up and get recovered.

    Morning

Ive been super productive already and have 1 line of towels out already and stripped 2 beds, so will get those in the washing machine and hung out.  Its cloudy but sun keeps trying to make an appearance.  Should still dry though.

Made PAD payment to Lloyds today of £7.19 which is another Prolific cashout, signature and thread updated.

Unfortunately had to go for a food shop last night at A*di, due to my freezer in the garage has stopped working, it never rains but it pours!  I can have some bits I can use but rest like meat etc has had to go as I will never use it in time.  We do fortunately have another less economical freezer so have put shopping i bought in there.  Spent £81 but will be getting a refund on a table i bought for living room as too small so £15 will be sent back to bank today.

Im only working half day as is usual on a Tuesday so have lots to sort out in the home, will be a a busy day. Things have slipped in the last month with keeping on top of chores so will ensure i get my music on and will busy myself with some house work!

    Thats about all for now.

Glad the sofa arrived and is lovely but what a nuisance about the freezer - glad you were able to salvage at least some of the contents.

We are on hump day, its all downhill from today to Friday!

This morning was meant to be going into work, I paid my parking on the app before I left the car only to find that the train due and the following one were cancelled so working from home today.  Apart from parking at £4, saved £7.60 train fare.

Made a PAD payment following a refund to Lloyds CC of £16, and with the extra £7.60 saved today will send that to Lloyds CC too.

Its lovely here, windows open and at least I can get some more chores done on my breaks.  Didnt do as much as I hoped yesterday.

Get paid tomorrow and it cant come soon enough! :D I will be rolling over a negative figure into my budget so will just ensure I stick to budget this next month.  I have also decided to move to cash budgeting for some of my variable expenses, the ones being moved are Grocery, Fuel and Eating out.  Ive decided to do this for 2 reasons,  1st is I will stay on budget, if I spend the cash thats it until the following week and 2nd being if any cash is left over, can be either rolled over to week after (If notes) or I can add to my saving challenges.

My saving challenges have been extremely hit and miss mainly due to dealing electronically rather than cash.  I hope this way I can direct the change more and watch the balances grow on my 1p challenge and also my saving for Christmas challenge.  I do already have an electronic 'Pot' in my Starling account which I transfer a regular amount to every month for Christmas, I would like to add to that with the change at home.

I think thats all for now.
