Aldi warranty issues

Good morning all,

I'm at my wits end with Aldi and I'm hoping somebody can provide some advice on what to do next. This is quite long winded so I apologize in advance.

I purchased a 5-1 Garden multi tool from Aldi that came with a 3 year warranty.

The tool broke so i contacted Aldi to arrange repair or replacement.

Aldi then put me in touch with Toolhelp.co.uk to arrange repair of the tool.

All went well and I received the tool back. On opening the tool it was clear that no repair had been carried out some parts of the engine was missing.

I contacted Toolhelp.co.uk to re-arrange collection and repair. Once they had received the tool they replied that a mistake had been made and it was beyond repair and I should contact Aldi to arrange a refund or replacement.

I contacted Aldi about the issue and they responded saying I should contact the manufacturer Meister-service.com.

I then contacted Meister-service who replied that the issue is nothing to do with them and contact Aldi.

I responded to Aldi informing them that Meister-service has responded that the issue is nothing to do with them but Aldi has so far ignored a number of emails over 4 weeks.

I'm not sure of what steps I can take next.

Can anybody advise on what i can do next as the item was quite expensive.

Thank you in advance.

What does the terms of the warranty say? Is there any backer to the warranty (eg an insurer)?

Warranties are in addition to your statutory rights against the retailer but are likely to be more generous in this scenario as under statutory rights Aldi could refund minus an amount for the use you've already had from it

    When did you buy it?
The stores can issue refunds, have you been to the store and explained the situation and see what they can do to help?
