Sorry to hear about the robbery how awful. Totally not your fault and glad they got caught your watch basically saved others from the fright. I would definitely try to claim on the insurance very expensive are iPhones. Take care

My watch showed them where it was  as in which building but it was a huge building so they  did not find my phone - it got wrapped up in foil and turned off. So thief has profited unfortunately

Sorry to hear that LadywithaPlan, my DH is always telling me to stop walking around with my phone out in front of me and I'm always pooh-poohing him.  I've got my credit cards in the same holder - so that would be a double whammy.  I'll take note in future and be a bit more careful, what a shock.  Hope you managed to get everything changed over okay.  Mine takes less than a minute to go to lock screen so I hope they didn't manage to get into anything. 

Carpentry sounds exhausting, but a great skill to have.  We did metalwork and woodwork at school - we only made a small wooden boat in woodwork and I remember all the joints and cutting as being quite detailed (didn't pursue it).  I always admire carpentry - I guess its what finishes off the building whereas plumbing tends to be a bit more messy as its hidden (but equally important).

That’s absolutely horrible! 😢 I’d read that you’d had your phone stolen, but I hadn’t realised that you’d been jumped like that. Really !!!!!! off for you. 

Your home / contents insurance wouldn’t cover you for the stolen phone would it?

Oh @LadyWithAPlan, I am so sorry to hear about the robbery! So pathetic what the country has turned into. Too many people turning to thieving as a way to live. Other than the expense of replacing it, it is just so traumatic to go through the experience. Sorry about the injuries too, thank God the eye was not injured! Lots of love, hugs and kisses from this end x
