Yes - I wouldn't cope at all with all those critters. I think you are doing amazing.

Is there anything more you can do to nudge the unpaid invoices along?

Its Friday!  Hope all are having a fabulous day

    Food batch cooking
@Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS diary - all 1000+ pages last night. So inspiring and to have a redundancy for 6 months plus in the middle of it wow.
@Watty1 maybe??? to inspire me I would love to see it. This will be a major area to get moving on for this winter - especially looking at utilities!

Declutter - once I am back in London I need to get on fire with that as well. Pointless having stuff in my house that I could sell to get me closer to this £125k and then £155k saving target

Gorgeous day and I have had a slow start - beyond 5 dogs and 4 cats feed and check on horses. I am having my first coffee outside in the pagoda (will miss this when back in London). I made a GF apple and blueberry cake yesterday in the breadmaker  so having a slice of that before dog walking- there are some amazing apple trees here as the previous owner was a champion grower - some apple varieties you just dont find - 12 trees of different kinds inclusing a beautiful red one, quinces, apricots, cookers, plums
I will be carting a suitcase back with me of them ;)
Then I will start work at a reasonable hour - just 3 full days now here before they return.
So much easier w/out bitey dog..

    Free Money: £3.72 +  £8.35  = £12.07 - on way to ISA -
Done via paypal so not seen it yet but sent to Baby vangua ISA for house.
    Quidco £3.72 withdrawn -
The £3.72 has been in there since Dec - I need to be more on top of this as its better in my accts than in theirs especially if I can put in S&S or PB
I should have £21.06 coming as well plus an unnamed amt for house insurance last month - its there but no £...

TCB - anyone know about TCB Plus membership as I see they have w/drawn £5 as annual membership plus £1.62 for previous!
I did not sign up for it - do I need it? I have turned it off for next year - renews Dec 22.

    I have withdrawn £8.35 TCB

    £55.09 pending ;)

Lots of work to do today

Yes - I wouldn't cope at all with all those critters. I think you are doing amazing.

Now bitey dog has gone its a pleasure - no howling, no crazy in the morning, no stress on keeping them all apart
Once all dogs fed and watered they chill til their 2 x daily runs in a field. Horses are fine but hopefully it will not get too warm or I will be getting them in ...

    On invoices
The one company is having issues- honestly largely to do with excessive spending  by the director in the company and personally  - had 5 + years of huge profits but spent it large as opposed to saving or paying off house etc - so sole director is stressing - it has meant he has less options. A very good lesson for me to watch as my income has jumped the last two years but I am watching every penny and when I do my MFW diary I am definitely more focused on the long goal not short term I want now.
. I will remind them as June bill due - 30 days - and July bill next week

The other company - main guy is on holiday - one invoice paid early - but still £xxxxx due
I have been too crazy busy here looking after pets but once I get back to London I will be revamping the CV for another side job

Right off to walk dogs in my shorts and boots  then settle down to work outside.

    MFW savings   26/08/2022  £102,091.07

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I turned off my plus membership, also didn't sign up to it and I don't think there are very many retailers where they offer an enhanced rate anyway. £5 is a lot to deduct from my pitiful cashback earnings (largely because I don't buy very much!)
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!

    Tx for checking
everyone raves about VNQ as seriously well run Vanguard US REIT

@savingholmes when I am focused I am on fire but it takes me time always to get in the zone ;)
being here with all the barking, animals needing attention etc  really has shown me how I can’t settle down to tasks if too many distractions .. so a great lesson learnt

NSD again today that makes it either  12 or 13 - seeing family tomorrow and need to do bit of shopping for all returning here Monday
no TT yesterday so will did double today ;) £1.81

i am very happy also I didn’t go away with girlfriends to Ibiza for 9 days in August - will have been very expensive and I gather the bars and restaurants there all been putting up prices hugely .. supermarkets for food also - I think Spanish utilities have gone up even more than ours!
Apparently for those not checking the menus people have been charged 200 euros for 2 drinks and a sandwich - I also have got a lot of friends there who have stopped going out to eat cos of food prices.
Having had no real tourism there for 2 years the locals are all trying to maximise their earnings right now

Yep... I have lots of friends over there and there are some horror stories of some beach bars/clubs etc absolutely pushing the tourists for max.. I remember being at a beach bar in Nice once with a French friend - he ordered 2 glasses of rose - and when the bill came they had not served the house rose but the most expensive rose by the glass - 3 times more! He lived there and was in the tourism industry and was appalled.
Always important to see the menu first especially in high end beach bars !

Good to see they are useful for fun too! They are super energising,

    Another NSD 13! 13/13
So much easier to not spend when I have to get into a gas guzzling monster to get any sweets or food!
I will be shopping for food tomorrow for the returnees - 2 more sleeps!! woohoo and then champagne! No alcohol for 2 weeks since they left as needed to be as focused as possible,

I am officially Ms Doolittle. I now have the dogs, cats and horses following me everywhere. Often in trios ;))
The horses are in their correct fields but as soon as I pop near they are there popping over and happily following - I guess I have been here for 2 weeks now so they are used to me. There is one cat that even wanders into the horse fields after me so that is a bit worrying so I am constantly watching.
Two dogs constantly follow me - the others are not loose and one sat for an hour today  guarding me picking apples and plums for family I am seeing tomorrow. I move anywhere and he wakes up and follows. Too cute.

I was wanting a pet again in London (dog or cat) but good news is I have Od'd on them for a while - especially  the cats waking me in the middle of the night for attention...
