Any credit cards with instant spending notifications?

Options
Hi All

Was wondering if anyone was aware of any credit cards which have instant alerts when money is spent on it? I've seen some app based banks which support this but so far no credit cards apart from AMEX.

Advice appreciated :)

Thanks

You should have done a forum search as there are already quite a few posts about instant alerts when using credit cards and debit cards.

I have already done a search and I cannot find a solution for credit cards, only current accounts.

My Tesco card does instant alerts.  Every time I use it, I think to myself "Oh, I've just used my credit card and spent £x.xx" :-)
I'm assuming you're more worried about fraudulent use?  If that's the case then you do have a fair amount of protection anyway, so long as you've not done something daft like given your card or PIN to someone else.

Thank you that sounds perfect, can I ask if its text alerts or alerts via the app?

They are app notifications, not texts.

A Curve card could be your friend here... you can link any (non Amex) Credit or Debit card to it, the Curve app will give an instant notification of any spend.

HSBC offer this facility for credit cards via their iOS app (mirrored to Apple Watch too). Notifications appear for Chip and PIN, Contactless, Apple Pay and online “card not present” transactions.

I receive instant notifications for “All transactions” although you can specify online transactions only:

Android also has notifications for HSBC credit card purchases/transactions. However, the same transactions don't show up in the app straightaway, and it doesn't show anything pending, so once you've dismissed the notification you have no record of the transaction for a couple of days.

Capital One provide spending notifications via their app.
