I am on a fixed tariff with Hub - or was...
The email and the FAQ don't say what tariff I'll be transferred to, and the email address they've sent it from doesn't accept replies, and they don't have an email address on the website. Great first impression!
The prices for the variable tariffs I can see all seem to be a lot higher than I'm currently paying - can't see E.on Next variable prices on the Cheap Energy Club website, so can't immediately see how they compare with others. It sounds like I won't be able to switch until E.on have properly taken over, so it sounds like I'm stuck in limbo, can't switch to anything cheaper immediately, and will be hit by higher prices immediately, and then potentially more as won't be able to switch for some unspecified amount . What a fantastic energy system we have in this country.

@jimmck 360,000 GNE consumers have been in this limbo state and some still not yet resolved since January.
I think Eon Next = Eon as far as tariffs go
You don't need your tariff details to get a comparison - use any supplier, any tariff and you will get a long list . Ignore the savings figures, what matters is the prediction based on the actual annual consumption which you already know. I would be surprised if you find anything cheaper to switch to but do let us know.
Agree re email contact - the website does say contact by email but doesn't actually give an address.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

!!!!!!This is what they have said https://www.eonnext.com/hub-energy - Next Flex same rates as Next HUB ProtectAs a Residential customer, what tariff will I be on and how much will I pay?
We've put you on our cheapest variable tariff based on Ofgem average energy consumption* and we'll guarantee these prices for 6 months. Once we've moved your account, you're welcome to change your tariff or supplier later if you want to.
* Ofgem average annual consumption of 2,900 kWh electricity and 12,000 kWh gas.
I’m in the process of switching to another supplier. Will this switch still happen?
Your switch will continue as normal so you don’t need to do anything. The supplier you have chosen will be in touch with you soon.
Can I switch supplier as you're setting up my account?
Once we start setting up your new account with us, there will be a period of 2-3 weeks where you won’t be able to switch to another supplier. We’ll let you know when this starts.
How do I get in touch?
We don't really have any more we can tell you at the moment but we’ll keep our FAQs page updated as soon as we have any additional information to share so keep checking back here regularly if you need to.
If you have any urgent queries you need to talk to us about we’re here from 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 4pm Saturday on 0808 5015 308.

I switched to Zog yesterday (or at least applied to switch!) as my Hub fix was ending shortly. Got the email from e-On just now and have submitted my meter reading to them. Got fingers crossed the switch will go through, just from e-On instead of Hub.No mention of tariff on email just says ‘cheapest variable tariff based on average consumption’ (gives 2900 & 12000)0

If so email addresses are available here (different ones for home & business customers)
https://www.eonnext.com/help/joining-us
Scroll down, it's near the bottom of that page, above the phone numbers, which I see are freephone numbers
With regards to the tariff, they say it will be the cheapest variable tariff they offer (based on an average user).
I'm not sure how many variable tariffs they have on offer, but the only one I can see they offer is called 'NextFlex'
https://www.eonnext.com/tariffs
Enter your details, and at least you'll know that is the most you should be charged. Who knows, they may have an even better variable tariff available that is not displayed on their website. I'm sure they will provide you full details shortly, as well as instructions about your direct debit, etc.
Whatever they offer you, they've promised to fix those prices for at least 6 months. No early exit fees.

The link for the tariffs is on the info page they have put up, here is the Eastern Region numbers for example...You just need to go here: https://www.eonnext.com/tariff-searchSelect 'Previous Tariffs' and look for NextHUBProtect.

I received the email yesterday too. I guess it’s not worth starting a switch for a few months?0

To be honest I haven’t checked for a few years now so I’m sure I can get something cheaper. Do you have to wait before starting a switch or could I start one now?0

Do you have to wait before starting a switch or could I start one now?As per the details in the letter and on their website, you can start a switch at any point up to where they inform you that they have begun the process of setting up your new account with them.So as long they have not yet done that you can switch. If you want to do that then I'd start ASAP or wait until after you have been moved to them. The danger in starting now is that your actual switch date doesn't happen until after they have begun the bulk switch process which can result in you being accidentally switched back to them.0
