What Small DFW Things Will You Do This Week 09/08/21?

Afternoon all,
A productive day here, moved some furniture around which makes better use of the boys space (ds1 has a friend over for the first time since March 2020 - very strange having someone else in the house..... though at least they're not sleeping over!!
Shopped from home ala Foxgloves which saved a bit.
Leftovers for lunch (I find anything topped with a bit of grated cheese and grilled goes down well with my two!)
Making a chilli as I had all the ingredients and its dh's fave meal so will get brownie points!
Exercised using kids game console (fitness boxing) plus out for a walk to post an rm survey letter.
Banking all checked and spreadsheet updated.
Going to make some datey choc brownies (no cooking involved just chilling)
plus maybe another batch of red onion & chilli relish - does anyone know how long this would be ok left in the fridge for? (I've eaten a batch of it over the last three days and loved it but don't want to have to have it everyday once I've made it if you know what I mean! )
Right better crack on or I won't get moving again!
Take care allSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hey hey folks!
She is gone thank goodness. Been a bit unwell. Had my hair done on Wednesday and something about the dye did not agree with me (same as last time so don't know why). No issues with the dye when on but got home to find that my NECK had SWELLED UP! Most disconcerting. Really tired yesterday (and kinda freaked out if I'm honest!).
Worked from home yesterday dt feeling unwell but couldn't deal with guest so stayed in the bedroom. Came down thinking I might slob on the couch to find her stretched out on the couch on her tummy playing on her phone like a teenager. Went back upstairs.
In thanks I have been gifted a bottle of Black Tower. Black. Tower.
Everything right as rain now and I feel full of beans today (which is nice as I've been a bit up and down the last couple of weeks feeling unwell). Work didn't need me in so an unexpected day off and I've done TONNES:Picked blueberries in garden
Took down the blueberry cage as finished now
Went to the allotment and had a good weed/tidy
Stripped spare bed
3 washes done and pegged out
Mowed the lawn
Went to the butchers
Filled some holes in the utility room woodwork
Stewed some rhubarb
Dusted the spare room
Cleaned the big bathroom
Wrote the meal plan for the week
Crocheted a little net bag for our home grown garlic
Cut some thyme to dry
Started fixing the wood work on the front windows
That is a crazy list! I am going to have tea and sit down and enjoy my empty house.

Wow, that IS a big list CLF - is Black Tower still a thing? Haven't seen it for years! Not that I have looked....Anyway, managed a bit more today, as I only had to pop into work to pick up my cardigan. I was in a hurry to get away yesterday and forgot itDog walkRM surveys stuffLoad of washing done and dried on the line outsideUsual quick clean / tidy (putting off 'proper' housework for as long as possible
)
Prepped and froze some French and runner beansDD2 came round for lunch, no kids today as she is in work. Made cheese, ham and chutney toasties for all 3 of us, with home grown salad on the side.Small shop at Lidl and a couple of bits at Waitr*se as I couldn't face crowded Sainsbugs on a Friday afternoon. No pine nuts in Lidl, so looked in Waitr*se. £4.50 for a packet - no thanks, even if they are organic! Next pesto batch will include walnuts instead!!Made a Middle Eastern sounding pie with courgettes, onion, chickpeas, rice and spices in filo pastry. Nigella recipe. I am currently trying everything that uses courgettes. Not tried it yet, but it looks nice! Also made a pasta bake to use up lurking vegetables (inc courgettes) and some rather tasteless ham from my brother's staff shop. Had most of that for dinner.Going to DD1's tomorrow, to camp overnight in their field. Will take the kids car booting on Sunday morning if they want to come - yougest can't wait, but not sure if the older on will get up in time1 -
Morning folks
@DawnW - looks like a good list there! I agree on the pine nuts - that's some expensive pesto. I have a couple of interesting courgette recipes. One for a low carb chocolate loaf (warning, contains insane amounts of peanut butter) and one for a courgette lemon drizzle (highly recommended by my OH).
Sooo what's on the plan for today? Gotta load the morning as I have my second jab at 2.30. Realised I will likely have to drive, not cycle (urgh), but yes, MSE things:Gammon joint into the sc
Fixed the wooden slats on the front window
Buy small pot of primer for undercoating the front windows where the paint has come off
Bit more filling where needed
Carry on with crocheted baby items for gift
Have a good one all

Ooof just had to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Discovered a split in the hose in the floor head. Just as expensive to replace the head as to buy a new one and it wasn't that great anyway. Off to Argoose it is...LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.311

Afternoon all.
Not done much today, today I plan on resting and watching films. We're having a roast dinner later so can't wait. I'm doing some research on home growing because I really want to grow fruit and veggies!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. @jadewest94 - that drink looks well deserved!
Had my second jab but faring pretty well actually. Bit of a disturbed night and a sore arm but generally in fine fettle.
Big budget sheet day today as OH hasn't been about to sort his stuff out. Quite a bit spent but generally a good monthLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.312
