We had a nice gift box from the mortgage lender when we were FTBs, although it was somewhat undermined by the fact it also contained a slip of paper reading (paraphrased): "IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR MORTGAGE WE WILL REPOSSESS YOUR HOME".
I mean, I know that, guys, but it's making me feel less positive about these nice hand soaps.2 -
best gift was knowing that I'd never have to deal with or speak to the vendor's EA ever again!3

I always leave washing up liquid, sponges and a tea towel, any equipment manuals, lost of tradespeople we use and trust and a note about relevant stuff in the house (where fuse boxs are etc)
When we moved this time I turned up at the ea to collect the keys and they gave us a box which contained two mugs, tea and coffee, cleaning products and vouchers. It was a lovely gesture and tbf they earnt their commission with our sale! However our car was already absolutely stuffed and we had to somehow transport six people and two cats as we ended up moving in Jan with four kids off school! I managed to cram it in, by balancing it on one of the kids head 😂 I did appreciate it the first evening though and it was a nice touch.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -

The seller's EA gave us a nice card and a keyring when we picked up the keys. The milk we had brought with us for our brek the next day had gone off during the journey but luckily, the (splendid) village pub gave us some. We left home made cake, preserves, a card and a bottle of fizz for our buyers.0
