how do I find my old turnovers??

Options
I think it's fair to say admin is not my favourite fun thing to do.  I don't know what my turnover was for the last 2 years.  Once I do a SA return I prefer not to see it again  pp
Slashed my way through the thorns of gov.uk and found my tax calculations but it gives earnings after expenses which is no good, I must have turnover!  Can anyone give a chap a clue?

Did you prepare your own accounts, or did you engage the services of an Accountant to assist in the process?  If the latter, the Accountant may have records available.

If you submitted to HMRC online yourself, via your Govt Gateway/Personal Tax account, you will be able to view the entries you made when you submitted each year.  You need to go into the relevant year, then choose the view/edit tax return option and you'll be able to view what you originally entered.

(You must keep business records (book keeping etc) for 6 years, so you should have the book-keeping, workings etc that you used and which HMRC would require sight of if they opened an enquiry)

I can see my past tax calculations but they only give earnings, not turnover/expenses
There must be loads of people in the same boat, I have plenty of s/e friends whose paperwork would horrify you

You must have some idea of your turnover. What is it you do?  You could look at your bank statements and see what income you had and I’m assuming you are not vat registered so no vat adjustments.  Do you use cash accounting?

Open your SA return and look at SA103 (box 9 if you completed SA103S, box 15 if you completed SA103F).

My turnover for previous years shows on my tax returns when I log into my HMRC account. It shows income, (turnover) and expenses and then further on net profit.

I have an idea of turnover to within the nearest 1 or 2 thousand.  Try as a might all I can see is net earnings after expenses deducted
