Bourbons aren’t a favourite, but will do in a pinch! I love the mixed chocolate biscuit tins that come out at Christmas….I must try and bulk buy them in the sales! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I must be weird, then: I love a plain digestive. Too much actually, so rarely buy them!Edited to add: it is a very MSE biscuit»The road to DF is long and bumpy » Greensaints2

Bourbon biscuit sounds good, pure bourbon even better!

Have any of you tried making "Twinks Hobnobs" - it's a recipe from an MSE board. They are very simple to make and use good ingredients. You can melt some chocolate on them too.I love biscuits but have started feeling a bit iffy about the type and number of ingredients shop bought biscuits contain and how they manage to have such long use by dates.Mind you, I've just eaten a handful of chocolate pretzels 😋 so no danger of me being too virtuous.4

I’ve got some more spending updates but I’m not sure I can face the quantity of typing just yet.
I spent Wednesday night in hospital with DS1 who suddenly became very poorly (temperature of over 39 degrees and struggling with breathing). Ambulance arrived at about 1am, rushed straight to A&E, then spent the night being monitored there before moving to the paediatric ward at 8am. Thankfully, he was feeling much better by the afternoon after lots of inhalers and the obligatory Calpol. Diagnosed as a viral pneumonia causing wheeze, and though he wasn’t 100% better, they let us go home with a list of things to watch for.
Having been awake for 36 hours (which I am yet to recover from!), I will admit to not making the most MSE choices. Suddenly I find myself in need of junk food and anything with sugar in it seems to find its way into my shopping trolley!Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.

No @Blackcats, but I think I need some!!
sorry DS1 was so poorly and very glad he’s back home. Junk food is perfectly understandable 🍫Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
