Proof of negative lateral flow test for festival

Hope I’m asking in the right forum. My partner and I have got tickets for a festival in our town next weekend, and just had an email through saying we need either proof of a negative lateral flow test or proof of both vaccinations. We haven’t been vaccinated so will need to have lateral flow tests instead. We’ve both done one in the last 4 weeks as a colleague thought they had covid so we both took a test at home.
How do we prove we’ve a negative test close to the event? As I could just get a photo of someone else’s negative test?
Can we use a home lateral flow test as proof and if so, how do we prove it was our test results please?

Do lateral home test on the day or day before and add the info to the NHS App then that should work,0

Unless, it's just an honour system.

I would expect that you need to pick up lateral flow tests. You can order these on-line or your supermarket pharmacy might have them.
You then register your test and then you'll get an email.
I would expect you to have to provide the email from the NHS as proof.

Most people are still wearing masks so most people care about not killing others.
There are a few that don't, but we've moved to a position now of trusting people's judgment rather than making it mandatory.
If people want to get round it they will.
There were some people breaking the rules even when there were fines so there's a "hard core" that can't easily be gotten to.
Most people are being decent and considerate of others considering that other people can die
(and please don't tell me everyone old, disabled or vulnerable should stay at home forever - we won't have a workforce if everyone with asthma is put on the sick).
so yes, relies on the decency on most people.0 -
If they are accepting a home LFT then pick one up from a pharmacy and put your results onto gov.uk.
Report a COVID-19 rapid lateral flow test result - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
You don't need the NHS app if you don't want it, they will email and text to confirm you have uploaded a negative result if you put those details in.
It does rely on people's honesty but that is the system that we have. I would hope there's not many people who would see a positive result and think "yay, lets go party." They are covering themselves and festival goers as far as they are able to. LFT's are only about 60% effective anyway, but if the government is saying that's ok, that's what event organisers are going with. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I don't think anyone would ignore a positive test.
But I think there are people who might not take the test in the first place, delete the app etc.

In reality the pandemic would not have dragged on this long if people followed the rules.0 -

There are times it's been extremely hard if you've lost someone to see people not following simple rules.
I found bursting into tears made people more sympathetic than being angry but it was very difficult at times.
I don't agree with it, but why even stick the thing up your nose if you're just going to ignore the result?1 -
