I have done a polite letter to the council with a photocopy of the BB and the fine was cancelled.

What's on the (very clearly labelled) "This way up" side that might be relevant...? Expiry date, perhaps?

If somebody is competent to drive a car, they're competent to correctly display a blue badge.

There are a lot of people with mobility issues that would love a BB but cannot get one. You say Brain Fog - Really? I would say it is simply you were late and in a rush and forgot - we all do such things at time with or without a BB so pay up.

Appealing it when by your own admission it is your fault is what gives BB holders a bad name.

Alternatively, why punish someone for an honest mistake, given they clearly are entitled to use the space?

There is an appalling lack of understanding of fibromyalgia on this thread.

'Brain fog' is a real symptom but does not necessarily affect someone's ability to drive safely. People need to read up about it. It would then be quite easy to understand how someone could 'forget' to display their blue badge.

The BB might even be due to an unrelated mobility issue.

Simple answer is to leave BB in car sat on the dash :)
