Ryanair and cancellation

Options
Hi chaps, is there anything I can do please, my wife booked return flights to Spain (1 week beginning September) and is getting stressed by the possible grief and extra expense of getting covid tests. It looks like Ryanair doesn’t allow cancellations, that figures, so have we lost flight costs. Thanks chaps …

Yes Ryanair sell only non-refundable tickets (exception being if they cancel the flight)
If you want to travel later this year they will waive the change fee and you would pay any fare difference if applicable (note that they treat each flight separately so if one has gone up and the other down you would pay the increase and get nothing back for the reduction)
    https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/useful-info/no-change-fee#!
It is unlikely travel insurance would cover refunding under disinclination to travel and no refund from card company if the flight operates

That’s really good of you Caz and confirms my research, so ‘later in the year ‘ appears to be October …. sadly not next June (2022) ?

You could perhaps (?) move it to October and then, in October, move it again to June .... perhaps. (this is what we have done 4/5 times with one of our Easyjet flights)

Yes JB I did wonder if that might work … plus I found another “page” on the Ryanair site where it looks like we can rebook in June next …. the plot thickens, we’re wondering when the testing requirements might end …
