I think we're getting confused here...

DiscoSports do not need bodylifts. You cannot lift the body. There isn't a separate frame to lift it from.

Disco 3/4s and RRSs have the body lifted to make engine access easy without engine removal - and it's not a big job. They're designed for it. It's a very neat, elegant solution.

Look at the time in the corner - an hour and three quarters.

DiscoSports are the rebadged Freelander 2 replacement. The badge is the only thing shared with the bigger Discovery.

I have a friend who works in JLR and he persuaded me to purchase an extended warranty. I am very glad I did. I bought a LR4 and already have had to change the main gearbox processor. The internal bodywork is pretty awfully tacked together. The coolant hose cracked and is still leaking somewhere else sneakily. The start stop has never worked. I have always driven old cars and thought buying a 5 year old car would be the end of carrying a big bottle of water around!  :)

Your friend should have told you to stay away from used Landrovers. They are famous for being money pits out of warranty.

7 seat SUVs look at a Skoda kodiaq or a Tiguan Allspace. Should be able to get one of those for under £20K.

Or a Santa Fe maybe…not sure what their second hand prices look like….

As nice as the disco sport is, it’s a shambles in many cases in terms of reliability.
