Huge Insurance Hike following no fault accident

But the premium might have come down if she hadn't had the accident ....gord115 said:
Puzzling, because my wife was in a no fault accident in Feb 2020 and was insured with LV and her insurance hasn't gone up at all. one of the few times I have stayed with the same insurer.daveyjp said:Don't worry about your existing insurer. As you have found if they don't want your business another company will.
In 2010 I had a no fault claim, LV were the insurer and were excellent, until renewal time. Renewal price doubled so I went elsewhere. I always check LV and it has taken until this year for them to offer a competitive price again.

There are many different ways an insurer assesses risk and works out your premium. Unless your wife's accident circumstance was exactly the same it's impossible to compare. Don't forget the OP has had a write-off and getting a different car.gord115 said:
