/\ No I was not.   I imagine the only people there were those who booked weekend tickets, not day tickets
Did any part of the sunday take place?  if not, I think you are due 100% refund of ticket cost but not the fees, which are rarely refundable

I would write to them requesting a full refund. State if this does not happen, then you would not be prepared to drop it, but would be contacting bbc watchdog with your storty. And provide the bbc  link.

I would also add that you would also consider contacting 'this is money' and other organisations.

75% off the ticket value seems pretty reasonable given that festival was still running on Sunday until about 5pm when the rain came in and they had to cancel.  You still had a full day of festival activities and acts that were on before the bad weather (acts started from 9:30am on the Sunday morning)

Why would day ticket holders not be there?

If you had access for all day it was your choice not to make use of that.

How would the organiser know who arrived a t 9.30 or 1 pm or any other time?

The tickets were purchased via TicketMaster, which I am pretty sure made me pay for insurance when buying the tickets.  I don’t recall the full terms and conditions of the insurance when ordering the tickets; however, for a cancelled event I would expect a 100% refund, including the booking fee.

    I hav

    Any/all advice gratefully received.

    Thanks

Ticketmaster do not force you to take out the insurance. It is very clear it is a extra.
Perhaps have a look at your emails for the T/C.
But as the event was stopped @ 17:00 & only called off @ 21:20 then there was the vast majority of the day available to you. As such a 75% refund is a win win situation.
