I have tried entering the unlock code provided by you and the phone says unable to undo restriction or something to that affect. Whats my potions (if any) now?

hi mate that means been tried to many times needs to be unlocked by cable ie market/carboot/phone shop

Hi everyone,

I've tried to unlock a Nokia 6230i that's with O2, but the unlock I used didn't work (I used Codes 1 + 7 below, but it said Code error both times).

Can you check what I did below and tell me if I've put in the wrong one please?

Funny thing just happened. I re-read the instructions at the begining of this thread and took out the O2 SIM and put in a Vodafone SIM, and would oyou know it, the phone was already unlocked!! I just got the phone last night. Does this mean that O2 supplied it without it being locked?!

please recheck your imei and post back

o2 phones are often not locked so yours didnt need unlocking : )

Very sorry, got the IMEI number wrong, it is 356644006453679, looks like I missed a zero. Sorry.
