I gave up with our house. It is on every address database I have ever found EXCEPT the Royal Mail Postcode Address File. Every attempt at getting it onto the PAF has resulted in "you must register the address with your council" Our council want £150 to do so. That is in spite of the address already being on the council's own street name database, electoral register, and council tax register.I gave up wasting my time trying to push an immovable object and I an certainly not going to spend £150 to solve what is in reality just a little irritation having to enter the address manually in some places. The PAF is simply not fit for purpose and they are not interrested in making it correct. And nobody in authority seems to think this is worth sorting out.0

Thank you all, I think maybe I have to live with it. Most of the time it's just a hassle to type the address, but it was today when I had to wait so long to update something manually that should be relatively easy.
£150 is a lot of money to update something with factually correct information. Madness.0 -
Spent 6 months renting a flat which was number 42B. Drop down lists showed it as Flat B adjacent to number 40.0
