NHS IVF or private IVF

I am thinking about the IVF treatment, but I don't have any idea about it. Is this a painful or very difficult treatment?
Because I had a one time miscarriage, and the second time pregnancy was a nightmare too, the doctor said I was at a high risk of miscarriage again as I was keeping my blooding from the first month to the seven months, My progesterone was very low. I have to lie on the bed for nearly four months and get a progestin shot every day, as well as take the medicine, until the fourth month of my presidency, I already had more than 100 shots, but I was still blooding sometimes and have to emergency run to the hospital very often. Until my pregnancy reaches Eight months, my condition was finally stable.
Do I able to get an IVF treatment in NHS if I want to have a second baby, as I worry I will run into the same nightmare again?
Or I can do a private IVF treatment? What is the cost?
Thank you!

I'm not sure how ivf will help in your situation as you still have to carry the baby.
It sounds like surrogacy is what you need.3 -
I think you need to speak to your GP.
IVF is not easy to get on the NHS and is expensive privately
As @unforeseen said IVF you still carry the baby so you still have to go through pregnancy.
If you can conceive naturally but the proc as of pregnancy is the problem then I'm not sure how IVF will help.
IVF can be quite a traumatic experience for some people so you definitely need to seek professional advice.
A quick search online will show you it will cost anything from 1.5k-£5 per treatment and that doesn't include anything else such as medication or anything else)
I'm sure there will be people on here who have been through IVF who may be willing to share some of their experience1 -
Thank you Hampshire H, you point out the key point, the problem is my own health which makes me not allow me to carry the baby. Who can I find to get professional advice, please? the doctor in HNS always said you had a baby, so you can have a second one, but they ignore what I had experienced the journey and how risk for me to carry a baby.0

How can I get a surrogacy?0 -

NHS ivf funding isn't available if you have children already.
Have a look at Bourn Hall clinics, to see if you have one near you, they do different ivf packages.0 -
I would suggest talking to a fertility specialist. You can get progesterone support for early pregnancy so that may help you next time.
The issue you will come across is that your gp won't specialise in fertility and you might not get the help you need. I know this from experience.
Appointments with a private fertility place will usually offer a free first appointment to go through options so you could always do that with no pressure to continue down that route.
Prices vary dramatically depending on treatment needed, location, your age etc so what one person spends won't be the same as what you may need.
Happy to chat to you via PM if you want to message me.0 -
From what you've said I wouldn't immediately think surrogacy was the route you had to go down. Embryo quality and progesterone levels can all be factors to explore before surrogacy.0

Heath Unlocked has a fertility forum which is great for support and advice for IVF0

I'm currently going through IVF treatment via the NHS and it's definitely not easy. I think it depends on where you are in the UK as to how you qualify for treatment on the NHS. We got two rounds but I know some places you only get one. Before the IVF route though I would definitely speak to your GP and ask them to refer you to a fertility specialist to try and get to the bottom of why you can't carry etc - IVF private is not cheap and if it doesn't work due to other issues it's mentally and physically draining! We've had two failed go's so far and it's hard! Good luck hope you get the answers you need x0
