3 have reduced the fair usage limit from 20gb to 12gb when roaming in Europe.
It seems they did not give customers 30 days notice of the contract change, in fact it seems they did not tell customers at all.

Mobile companies over the past year have gained from most people using WiFi at home and not using their allowances. Now when people can go abroad 3 decide to change this limit without informing customers.

In fact they haven't even bothered to change the information on their own website

This is precisely the sort of thing we have OFCOM for, they should be issuing 3 with an immediate fine as it's clear they have failed to inform customers of a contract change.. A clear case of sharp practice.

Which T&C do you feel Three have broken here? This was widely talked about when EE added EU roaming charges and Three have updated their web site, but may have missed a page or two.

    4.2.

Additionally, On their website they state:

    Keeping you up to date

We use customer bills, leaflets, emails, letters, text, picture and video messages to keep you up to date with our news, services, products and exclusive deals. The latest Information is also available online at our website.

As far as I'm aware the only information became available was when asked by MSE.. No one was informed, so they definitely didn't keep to their words..
I see nowhere on their website, like a new information panel where they announced the change. Only buried in the new terms that you need to download.

Not exactly open and honest, and particularly underhand to do it after having a bumper year of people not using their allowance, saving 3 a lot of money while happily not reducing people's bills like car insurance companies..

FUP changes don't affect the amount you are charged per month, so they probably feel web site updates are all they need as per 4.2(c).

4.2c is about add-ons, this is not an add on.

4.2a(ii) is the applicable term, and as such people should be informed.

So if you are abroad and don't happen to look at the website, but get presented with a big bill, you really think that's acceptable?

Clearly this change will affect people but it seems no one was told.. surely you need to be told that you can leave a contract before building up an unexpected large bill.

If you go abroad, you should be sent a text message, advising of the change..
