Do parcelforce take photos on delivery

I ordered an item off ebay last week and it should have arrived on Friday 23rd July via parcelforce.
The seller has 100% feedback and im 100% sure theyve sent the item to me. That's where this becomes confusing as the parcel tracks as delivered to me and signed by me. Myself my wife and my son were in the house all day as we were isolating because of covid. Nobody rang or knocked the door at all around 13.31 when the parcel is "signed for"

so the parcels gone somewhere but not to my house and no card left in the door. The seller is now telling me that parcel force confirm delivery and i am in a photo with the parcel in front of me. How she knows its me i dont know as we have never met??? Shes called me a fraud and a liar and says im using covid to fraud her.

So question is do pforce take photos since covid came a thing??? Also pforce wont deal with me and im £260 down. Seller keeps saying police are involved which i welcome very much as im not being callled a pfraud and a liar.

Ask for a copy of the photo, raise a complaint with eBay. If nothing else it will be fairly easy to send your photo ID to eBay so that they can verify that it is not you in the picture. You might also recognise one of your neighbours.

Ask what colour the door is in the photo they took. If it doesn't match then please take a timed photo of your door and send it back to the seller.

Why won’t  parcel force deal with you, it is their problem as well as yours, surely they have a complaints procedure for missing parcels

The contract is between the sender and ParcelForce, not the recipient.

Thanks for replies. I've asked the seller for the photo evidence to which I now get no.reply.
I've opened a case with ebay now so hopefully they can get the evidence needed and unless I've been in some sort of trance on 13.30 on Friday it won't be me in the photo.

All the seller will need to do is provide proof of delivery and you will lose your case.

Not true, eBay will weigh up both arguments and ask for proof from all parties, they can withhold payment from seller and refund buyer. They tend to not take sides as it is not in their interest to upset the buyer or the seller so will try to mediate the best they can, that is my experience with them anyway.

Surely I get to see the photo evidence which she seems reluctant to show me. I can then prove its not me or my front door thats in the photo.

I don'nt think Parcelforce take photographs.

They do not  take signatures now, due to covid, but note the name of the person receiving the parcel and write  your name on your behalf.

You can try tracing your parcel here to see what it says.

    https://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace

Incidently, any photos I have seen from couriers only show a pair of legs, the doorstep and the parcel. If your lucky you may see part fo the doorway.
