Phone contract

I'm due an upgrade with Virgin for my mobile.

I usually pay no more than £14 per month as I don't use a lot of data.

They currently have a Samsung Galaxy A12 for £21 per month (36 month contract) and you get a Nintendo Switch OR an OPPO A54 5G and a Nintendo Switch for £20.

I was thinking of buying a Nintendo Switch for Xmas for the kids, so with that in mind, do these deals seem good? Is one phone better than the other?

There will be new Nintendo switch coming out. I expect the old one may have price drop?
Also there may be discount at black friday.

    Oppo A54 £219 / 36 = 6.08 per month
Monthly mins + Txt = £5 per month

So you are paying £321 for switch which are currently sold for £280.

Unless you don't have cash at all, I don't see the point of it.

If you don't use data at all.
You can get A12 for £6 x 24 months with skymobile
    Or Oppo A54 / Samsung A32 for around £10

Thanks, I'll take a look. I don't use more than 2MB per month.

Could you do the MSE thing and keep your existing phone and go sim only?

My current phone keeps telling me I have no storage space, can't take any photos on it now and it keeps saying text storage is full (even though I've deleted them all!). I need a new phone, just for Facebook, checking emails, WhatApp and a half decent camera.

I've got a Samsung J3 2017 at the minute. Would exporting it to my computer clear up space on it? I moved my photos to my one drive and SD card but it still says there's no space.

How much do you use your phone

    Mins text and data?

    Sky mobile £42 3 years unlimited calls text and 100MB a month.(Nokia 105+100MB plan)
    Or more with better phones.

You can get 50mins or text free with £250MB on RWG.

£5pm gets a lot more going through MSE/uSwitch

    Entry of other options.

    £70-£200 for a phone

There's no such thing as a "free gift" with a Mobile contract. You are paying for it over the 24/36 months of the contract ( and of course the handset as well )

Nothing moneysaving in that at all
