As per the advice in the NEWBIE sticky that @KeithP posted a link to and, hopefully, you have read, if you use the MCOL portal, you are limited to 122 lines and your formatting is destroyed; just use the e-mail address and put NOTHING in the defence box on MCOL - not even a full stop!

This is already explained in the template Defence thread and the NEWBIES FAQS thread.

Hello! Here is my paragraph 3 of the defence.
Everything else I have kept the same as the template provided... Is there any further info required?

    3.  The Defendant purchased a ticket for £1.20 to park for one hour from 17.25 – 18.25 on 18/09/2020 (can provide ticket as evidence) in the pay and display car park in XXXX XXXX. The Defendant left the car park at 18.17 (within the one-hour period paid for). The Defendant can only assume that the machine was faulty that day as it accepted the registration entered upon payment; LXXX XXX. It was only on receiving the PCN a couple of weeks later, that the Defendant looked back at the ticket and discovered that there was only an L printed on it, rather than the full vehicle registration.

    2 questions:
    1) Shall I also defend the previous PCR from them here, in the same paragraph? Or add details of this at the end?
In my response to their LBC, I asked them to advance their claim etc but nothing yet.
    2) Do I need to include in the defence email, the full cases referred to (as appendices)?

    Thanks again,

    1) no , deal with this matter only , providing that the claimant has not issued a court claim using MCOL for that other PCN , you can mention that the machines seem to malfunction regularly when you write your WS in the future

    2) no , the rest of the defence template is untouched and no exhibits are submitted with the emailed Defence

The emailed defence is sent as a Pdf attachment , nothing else is attached , the rest comes in several months time at the WS plus Exhibits stage

I would add a point to your 3 that this is a trivial matter , de minimis , and frustration of contract through no fault of the driver defendant

    Hello again!

Latest from BW Legal is a letter telling me that their client is now 'able to request the court to enter a CCJ against you'.
Assume I do not need to do anything and that as I have emailed my defence to the court (as above), I will get to defend myself in court before any CCJ can be issued against me? Should I respond to BW Legal informing them that I have sent my defence etc?

    Thanks as always.

Have you checked on MCOL to see if your defence has been received?

Did you file your defence using the instructions in the NEWBIE sticky before the deadline (23rd August) posted by @KeithP?

Yes I filed as per instructed using the CCBCAQ email address on 16th August...
I will now log on to the MCOL to see if it is logged there as received...

    Cheers

And if not, just forward the email again.

So there is nothing on the MCOL portal re my defence being received...
The last thing on there is the AoS received on 28/07.
Is there a way I can get this updated?
