Redx and D P Dance - email sent to request hold for 30 days.
    Good.

Redx and D P Dance  I also required DCB Ltd to acknowledge and respond to the email by return. This should effectively time out the action?
They very rarely (if ever) acknowledge the "on hold" request.

You did say ‘I require the case to be placed on hold under the pre-action protocol for debt claims because I am seeking debt advice’?

    Coupon-Mad, not quite.

    I wrote the following:

INSTUCTION TO PLACE CASE REFERENCE NUMBER UKPC124XXXX ON HOLD.

I refer to your Final Notice of Debt Recovery – Reference XXXXX37 dated 25 May 2021. You are hereby requested to place this matter on hold for 30 days whilst I seek debt management advice.

DCB Ltd is requested to acknowledge this email by return and confirm the requested action has been completed.

I've received a reply from DCBL regarding my challenge to the SAR, in which they failed to include the photographs of the alleged contravention. DCBL managed to turn around my letter in one day and included the missing photos, therefore they're pretty aware of the timescale methinks. They have also sent (same day - 28 July 21) a Notice of Intended Legal Action. Again, standard wording alleging a failure to pay or failed to respond to their letters. Needless to say, all challengeable, given the very lengthy correspondence trail.
Of greater import, is their failure to acknowledge my request to apply a 30 day hold on this matter. The letter also states they have now referred the matter back to UKPC to "review commencing legal action". Given the timeout deadline is 03 Aug 21, do I need to write formally (snail mail) requesting the 30 day hold, or should I simply wait out on any legal proceedings from UKPC? Thanks in advance.

Isn’t the Notice of Intended Legal Action from DCB Ltd not DCBLegal and is it about the same PCN(s)?

Coupon Mad, thank you. It is the same PCN and the Notice of Intended Legal Action is from DCB Ltd not DCB Legal. They seem to have picked up the pace and I may be putting two and two together to make five!! Having played the 30 day card, can I play it again with a different company if necessary? The lack of acknowledgement is expected. My correspondence has all been by snail mail, the 30 day request was by email, therefore I can prove the point if necessary; however .................. I'd prefer not to have to go that far.

If DCB Legal take over it will be with a 'Letter Of/Before Claim' in which they are required to give you 30 days notice before a court claim is raised via MCOL.  Only the issuing of the court claim stops the Limitations Act clock.

1 minute past midnight tonight and you can tell them to swivel. I'm not sure what your seeming panic is for.  Am I missing something?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Are you saying you DID get a proper LBC from DCBLegal and them randomly got a debt crawlers letter from DCB Ltd during the 30 day hold period while you told DCBLegal that you were seeking debt advice?
