I know they have to satisfy KYC requirements but thought it was a bit heavy handed asking for the photo in addition to the scans.

Your selfie needs to bear some resemblance to the photo on your passport/DL.Well they got a picture of me looking annoyed for their archives. It's these random unexpected extra bits of work or personal intrusion that make me tired of going for signup offers. Similar with our stoozing juggling 3 credit cards at once on 0% offers is still resulting in total borrowings of less than 1% of our net worth and interest rates on cash savings are so poor. We are only really doing it so that we have used the ISA allowance in anticipation of future lump sums that will take years to wrap alongside our normal contribution rate. So it's all now failing the materiality test but then free money is guaranteed no risk return and trying out new financial products can be interesting and it would be boring to just have our main accounts.0

Lol, me and my partner must have got off lightly. No mug shots required or anything!
I agree on general with your point thou Alex, shunting cash around when rates are increased or cut, still, its a nice problem to have!

I signed up Wednesday after having KYC docs verified, deposited and the bonus has gone in today and invested.
The website is basic, but I actually think that’s quite a good thing as it’s rather simple to understand. Quite a good sign up offer and they appear to have a very competitive service. I plan to benchmark against my existing accounts over a period of a few years and see how they play off against each other.0 -
