another successful day of parking in the village, walking to the station with free podcasts, packed lunch. My ankle boots are letting water in and stones as the sole is pretty much done. Bought a similar pair from diechman - signed up to their newsletter and got £5 off so £26 ankle boots and hopefully dry feet.

Thank you, it's going well at the moment and in a perverse way I'm enjoying the challenge, for me it's more trying to live better on the state pension so I have money left to 'do' things!! I have been in debt but managed to pay it all off, but I was always in low paid jobs and very little confidence to better myself, so no private pension and very little savings. But I'm happy, healthy and looking forwards at long last.
We can all achieve if only we try, that's my motto at the moment!!!

Couple of days spent with my other half. Spent £40 at Tesco on food- but that was for 2 people and will cover breakfast/lunch/dinner for 3 days. At work on a night duty. Got some overtime booked. Confessing to a couple of spends- sports bras but got on sale so not too bad

Meltdown day today. I cried so much. I feel like all I ever do is work, including overtime then my few precious days off are spent cleaning, washing, ironing, food shopping and generally getting ready for work. Was supposed to have a horse riding lesson today but I had to cancel as too much to do around the home - my riding school is an hours drive each way. Annoying as I’m not taking the time to rest, do my fun stuff and I just feel so stressed. Horse riding is also for my future career. Never get time to watch films etc. It did however prompt a chat with my fiancé - he’s away working at the moment but agreed to help more around the house when he’s home. Typically in the past he’s been a lazy boy but I think he heard how stressed I was today. It can only get better. Working an extra day tomorrow as it’s a training day but not getting paid extra. Will use the opportunity to learn and network instead. Had so many errands to do today but fiancé will do them on his days off. Take away tonight and leftovers will be packed lunch tomorrow. Another walk to the train station in the morning from the village, finance podcast while I walk.
