    Doesn't really matter whether anyone else is having problems - what counts is that you are experiencing problems, and it appears to be problems with both banks. File formal complaints with both of them. You don't need to tell either of them about your complaint with the other party.

    Giving out £50 notes is likely cheaper than getting in extra capacity.

    Complain to Tesco about their failure to honour their part on the Switch Guarantee which is associated with your account.

    They will offer you £50.

    Correct, it's also cheaper than having the complaint referred to the FOS.

    What's the correct method to do that? If it's phone , I'll probably end up on hold for most of the day.

    The correct method is to raise a formal complaint, which you can do by phone, post or online https://www.tescobank.com/help/complaints/

    I got an answer from Tesco after three rings when I phoned as soon as lines opened.

    My query was not about the switch process. It was not being able to access my accounts. Customer service were efficient at sorting it out.
