No the estate agent can’t take anything only the conveyor, hence they normally only allow pay later if you use their conveyor.
My point is that they will be paid once house sold. I will declare the Agents fee on my Conveyors Completion Statement, but if I didn’t declare it they would take this money from my credit card as they have my details.
Then presumably they can take it from your credit card now?
Presumably ?  Terms & conditions are there to avoid presuming things.

I did not agree to take advantage of the conveyancing service.  They phone you and give you a quote.  You can then accept or decline.  I decline. Had I accepted I would not be posting on here.
You agreed when you signed up to use the pay later service.

I’m saying I agreed to pay later and I can’t see anywhere in the t&c that I have to pay the “exit” fee now and not later in the t&c.  (And using my own solicitor is not breaking the terms and conditions)

You agreed to take advantage of the Conveyancing Services when you first told Purplebricks to advertise your house.

(There was probably a tick box saying "I have read and agree to the terms and conditions" which you would have ticked.)

Maybe you didn't read the terms and conditions properly, but unfortunately, that's not a defence.

Scroll back about 7 posts and you'll see it.

But, anyway, here it is again:

Also its obvious I didn’t agree because it says

If at any time you have agreed to take advantage of the Conveyancing Services and thereafter withdraw, fail or refuse to use the Conveyancing Services you will be required to pay Administration Charges once you agree a sale of your property”

IF being the key word here.

    I disagree.

    Why do you disagree?

Unfortunately, just saying "I disagree" doesn't change any facts.

"IF" you opted to pay later - you agreed to use the conveyancing service,
"IF" you opted to pay now - you didn't agree to use the conveyancing service.

If you can show me where I   “agreed to take advantage of the Conveyancing Services when I first told Purplebricks to advertise my house”

    Then I’m all good
