Definitely agree on MDF for skirtings and architrave. I went with pine when I originally replaced some of ours and it was a nightmare. It warps, splits and knots show through in time even when using knotting.
I've been using MDF for a while now and it's so much better.2 -
I used skirtingsRus for ours this year. I priced up about 14 websites (was a fun day) and they came out very reasonable for pricing on MDF. It was 2/3 weeks for delivery though, delivery guy was a great help with getting it all in the garage.2
