0x800f0922 appears as an error code on my laptop - which keeps on trying to update and fails !
Any idea how to get out of the loop ?
According to Windows update "There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800f0922)" - I have now tried at least 5 times and get nowhere
I have googled the code which doesnt help either
it appears to be the latest cumulative update that has failed
I am running Win 10 v20H2 pro but am unable to "pause" updates any longer

can you give a bit more into.
can you boot to the desktop? can you use the desktop normally? when does the update cycle trigger - when you shut down?
i googled the error and is seems to be a disk space error. have you tried any of the steps listed in eg this article (others are available)

Hi
Hard reset and SAFE MODE is where I would start.
It seems the update/download is put into the small recovery partition and not the usual C:\ space.

Make sure you have reasonable free disk space. Run the disk clean up utility to safely remove things that won't affect anything.Run the Windows Update troubleshooter and then reboot the computer. Then try the update again.0

Might be worth trying the Windows 10 Update Assistant https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/windows-10-update-assistant-3550dfb2-a015-7765-12ea-fba2ac36fb3f

In the typical case, you would either have purchased a system with Windows 10 1903 or later or to have run a clean install of Windows 10 1903 or later.
If the OP has done neither nor has taken steps to create one, it might be a good idea to run a back up and clean install to SSD anyway.0 -
If you really don't want to do the above,; then try downloading and installing the update from here: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5004237
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5004237) if for a 64-bit install

I have backed up all of my docs. xls, videos, jpgs etc to a external drive but in the past, when I have used Windows online upgrade to obtain a new image - I have lost many NON-MS programs - is there some way to ensure that EVERYTHING comes across ?
