Private parking charges

Hello,   I have received one of these private parking tickets through post and am choosing to ignore it.    I was wondering if there would be any repercussions if I was to reply to the company with a ‘Cease and desist’ contact letter?

I don't believe that can just ignore these, you need some specialist advice, post on the sub forum in Motoring or on Pepipoo

A cease and desist letter will do nothing, as LittleBoo says, get advice on the motoring forum otherwise it will end up in court and if you do not defend it properly or ignore it you will end up with a CCJ.

If you are in Scotland you can ignore it.

Do not reply in any way. A cease and desist letter will be ignored.

You will receive several more letter with threat of a CCJ, 'as seen on tv'.

They cannot take you to court unless you were the driver and there is no law in Scotland at the moment that you have to reveal who the driver was , unlike in England.

I believe that will change as the SNP government  intend to change the law in Scotland.
