VCS Hit For £1,500 Counterclaim - 5 years worth of Harassment

Excel and VCS's admininstration is really poor. They are often claiming that they don't receive defences and blame the defendant. They have also sent communications to the wrong people.
Good to see them having a spanking.
Regarding the IAS it is a very bruising experience. I said in my defence that I had followed the appeal's procedure but did not specify that I had appealed to the PPC and the IAS and no one asked.

This is a BIG RED WARNING CARD for VCS / SRS and any other parking company who practice harassment ?
It could easily happen again ... at any time

Here is the transcript of the whole hearing, prior to Judgment:

25 pages, but a fascinating read as the VCS rep digs himself into an ever deepening hole.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.10 -
Made it to page 6. Now we know what todays case is about, lets begin2

Phew, just got to the end! He wasn't digging that hole with a spade, more like a JCB!
It just sticks in the craw that a PPC can make all those serious errors, wreck people's lives, then wriggle and squirm to protest innocence and argue not to pay a copper in compensation. Yet should a motorist be 2 minutes late back to his car .......
No doubt this case will haunt VCS in time yet to come!
@bargepole, thanks for the great heads up on this, much appreciated. 👏Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would advise anyone going to court to read that. Lots of lessons to learn.
The main one being, EXPLAIN YOUR POSITION.
