In person transactions dont have a statutory right of return for "change of mind" whereas distance sales are covered by Consumer Contracts Regulations (which replaced the Distance Selling Regulations) which gives you a statutory right of return for most items irrespective of the reasonBradden said:
Are you sure of this? It doesn't sound correct to me... where does this come in to the legislation?zoob said:You bought the good online and if you returned them online then your legally entitled to your money back but if you returned to the store in person then your tied to the inshore return policy1 -
Not sure if there's legislation but under CRA2015 the consumer is obliged to return item/s to the online store for refunds, but some retailers do allow online purchases to be returned to there high st stores but its not a legal requirement and they can set there own return policy for those returnsBradden said:Are you sure of this? Customers can still return to the online store exercising there rights to a refund under CRA20150 -
Not so sure of the law these days, but I got my money back rather a voucher. I believe you could get your money back when you purchase online.
On a side note, I believe some big fashion brands and stores allow full refund of monies.0 -

The store have not refused to refund
Your refund will either be credited to the original purchaser’s credit card, PayPal account or as store credit.
but
They showed me a screenshot of my return form and suggested that I chose the option of store credit.
To be honest, I did not know there was an option of store credit and I may have overlooked it.
So the OP selected a store , apparently without realising.
OP did you have to tock a box as to what you chose or was it a default option?0
