BT Broadband and Mobile discounts

Dear MSE legends,
BT have a deal where if you get BT broadband you get £5 off your mobile contract - pretty good!
However, has anyone used the MSE deals (basically to get the cashback/voucher) to get the BT broadband deal but also managed to link it to the mobile account so you can also get the extra £5 off the mobile contract?
When you get an MSE deal you get an new BT account so I'm wondering if it can actually be linked to the mobile account?
