I think you will find that you are very wrong.
Your surname must be correct to allow the security services to do checks.
if my name was OWEN and i had 3 letters out do you think they would let me on with MANN as that is only 3 wrong.0 -
It is possable for people to get away with it, as many do. but you are boarding a plane with a ticket that is not in your name.0

But she dose not work in passport control. and if she is a big boss she would not deal with this.
You try geting in to the USA with the wrong name on your ticket...0 -
Urm when you go the USA you only show them your passport (unless you mean when you leave this country)
Most airlines will allow the 3 letter rule - like i said! She managed a team of sellers and comes across this problem all the time, a simple call to the airline is what it takes to sort it most of the time, although some airlines are stricter than others.Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
As they take the name on your passport to do the security checks, not the ticket!Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0

It may also depend on where your travelling to.
I travelled on business with a colleague in a non English speaking country. They refused to let him on the plane because his passport showed his first name as Jonathon, but his ticket showed John.
As far as they were concerned, it was a different name.
For £7, I would change it.0 -
