Barclays internal review. Help??

So I went to log onto my banking app yesterday and it said account locked and to phone this 0345 number. I called barclays up, and they couldn’t give me an explanation why my account was locked and said it can happen to anyone at anytime. And to go to the terms and conditions for a reason. I’ve been told to wait 20 days for an update but also saw online people waiting over three months for this to be sorted. I’ve not had any large amount of money going in, they won’t let me touch any money in my account currently unless it’s wages or benefits. On the phone they made me feel like I’m a criminal. I’m only 21, with a newborn at home. I don’t live local to a branch and don’t need the added stress of this as it’s playing with my anxiety.
I recently opened a fraud case because there’s a transaction from a company that I don’t recognize. They have taken payments before but I made those payments. However the payment taken at the start of this month it wasn’t me as I was in hospital at the time. I raised the dispute over the phone but for some reason the bank has raised the dispute for other payments that was made even though I’ve told the bank I know what those payments are it’s just this one payment wasn’t me due to me being in hospital at the time. Could this whole thing be to do with the fraud case I’ve recently opened?
The way I was spoken to and was told I wasn’t allowed to be told anything for legal reasons I’m just made to feel like I’ve done something wrong. Can anyone help?

'Taken'? How were you paying them before?
What did the company say when you asked them why they'd taken an unauthorised payment?
What was it for?
How much was it for?0 -
It was something I had purchased online yet the company charged me £25.50 for something else two months later. The initial purchase price was for £25.52 and then another purchase the next day for £6.12. These purchases were made in May. Then the company have charged me for something being purchased in July. Which wasn’t me. I have an account with the company and there’s no traces of the payment on my account as this account is linked with my bank card.soulsaver said:'Taken'? I presume you have given the company a 'continuous payment authority'. They will supply you with the product (most likely cosmetics or health products) until you cancel. The small difference in the amount points to the same price in foreign currency, but slightly different exchange rate.Bethyboo99 said:It was something I had purchased online yet the company charged me £25.50 for something else two months later. Have you bought recently some cosmetics or health products from the States?

No I haven’t, I brought my sons birthday presents back in may to put away. It was some toys. It shouldn’t of been anything that continuous payment wise as it was a one of purchase and I’ve received the goods already? Not received anything else since the purchase in Maybengal-stripe said:

Not the amount. It will be the source that's the trigger.Bethyboo99 said:I’ve not had any large amount of money going in,0 -

Perhaps this case has followed the wrong route within the bank - many posters refer to 'fraud cases' when it's really simply an unauthorised transaction (which may or may not relate to fraud). The fact that the bank have raised it as relating to your authorised payments as well as the unauthorised one would suggest that there's been a misunderstanding, and if the merchant can clearly demonstrate that you authorised payment (for the first two) and the bank believes that you're claiming that you didn't, then this could lead the bank to thinking that you're the one being fraudulent....Bethyboo99 said:I recently opened a fraud case because there’s a transaction from a company that I don’t recognize. Are you sure it is not a subscription site.
If you name the company someone can check it out for you.1 -
How can I get the issue sorted though as the bank are the ones that have put through the wrong thing? It is for only one payment and I’ve always said this and told multiple staff members since. Yet now my account is blocked. I really don’t know what to do as I don’t want to be made out like I’m the one being fraudulent? I really don’t need the stress I have no access to any money and I’m at home with a newborn and one year old. Anytime I phone the bank they are telling me there’s nothing they can do with the account being blockedeskbanker said:
