The ebay listing says it comes with windows on it. So you can probably insist on Curry’s installing it for you. However, if you download the windows installer onto a usb stick that should work okay, and it might be easier.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Yes, but you can be sure that Currys will put loads of carp on as well, whereas if you d/l the iso from MS you don't get this bloatware
  • Send it back for a full refund if within the allotted period. Not acceptable.

I know, and when I get my Lenovo in September I will try the above.

Unfortunately, fulfilment of your “ASSEMBLY IdeaPad 3 ” has been delayed because of this.
Your new estimated shipping date is: 04/09/21

But removing the power works with most devices, and
Fools rush in                      did I not.

  • That guide posted by @ann_droid will work with any given laptop.

I'm surprised by this to be honest, the machine should have been shipped with Windows 10 fully pre-installed + recovery partition. 3x boot failure should result in Windows booting from the recovery partition and displaying a list of recovery options.

The only thing you should have to contend with is the 'out of the box experience', which is the 'Hi we are getting things ready for you' and answering a slew of questions about connecting to a network, creating an account, enabling Cortana, device id, opting into/opting out of all the privacy invading features.

Personally I'd be tempted to return the thing and obtain a refund.
A dream is not reality, but who's to say which is which?
