Car damaged in car wash

Goodness me, if there was ever evidence of intolerance, some replies to this thread, well, represent. Be KIND, folks.
It sounds likke @Evan4888 took their car to a person-powered car wash and perhaps had an interior valet done on their car which resulted in some interior damage.
I didn't find that difficult to follow. Was that really so hard for people to understand or were you just being picky for the sake of it?
Evan, I think the problem is that they will probably not take responsibility for it - most hand car washes I know have that disclaimer. Also hard to prove. As you say the best thing is to go and see the manager, together with photo evidence if you have it and go from there. It'd be helpful also if you have an idea of how hard/expensive the issues are to fix. It might be that they can sort them out for you then & there. Or that you could sort someof them for yourself.
Be good if you'd feel willing to report back. Hope all goes OK for youl

I am with those that say they really didn't understand. English isn't my first language but I am pretty good with understanding most posts written in a more colloquial form. This certainly wasn't and I can honestly say the post by molerat with their understanding made complete sense, but only after I'd read it. I could not have come up with that translation.

I understood the OP's post quite easily. Predictive text comes up with some weird alternatives but it was not difficult to worl out what was meant.
I also found posts insensitive. A short 'Sorry I do not understand what you mean' would be enough if you felt you had to reply.
I doubt the poster will reply to this post.1 -
"Predictive text comes up with some weird alternatives but it was not difficult to worl out what was meant."Quite. Many years ago, when word processing was in it's infancy, could possibly happen now too, there was an operations manager called Norman Vaughan, where I worked. When his secretary produced computer letters it would be signed off with Norman Vagina when the auto spell correct interfered!2

This isn't a predictive text problem it's probably how the OP talks and they write it out like they say it. I've known people to say "post" instead of "supposed" and many other weird and wonderful pronunciation of words and then just type it how they say it because they don't know any better.
If someone allows predictive text to make such erroneous "corrections" then that's just laziness because they can't be bothered to proof read before posting.0 -
then just type it how they say it because they don't know any better.
All the more reason not to be insensitive.
I have had several occasions where I have typed the correct word, and it shows as correct on my draft . But when it appears the word has been changed. So not laziness.0 -

That sounds very strange and i have never seen that happen before.
What browser and device are you posting from when that happens?0 -

I was surprised the first time and assumed I had not checked it before sending.
Next time I double checked before I sent it and it was correct but changed when posted.
It happened three or four times over the next few weeks ( I double checked before pressing send ) then stopped.

I'm using chrome and any time it thinks a word is spelled incorrectly it underlines it in red and i need to click on it to change the spelling to one of it's suggestions.
Have you looked to see if you have any addons installed that might be changing the spelling automatically or tried disabling spell check altogether.

It isn't doing it now.
It only happened for a few weeks about a year ago.0
