It's a confirmed CCJ @D_P_Dance, a bit late for that unless a set aside can first be achieved (but seemingly a case of ignored court papers - not the best position to start at!).Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It is never to late to complain to one's MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
You do need, as advised above, to treat this seriously and read the NEWBIE sticky, second post and consider a set-aside BEFORE Empira exercise their warrant of control. If you pay it and it is outside of the 30 days set by the judge it will be marked as satisfied but will be on your record for six years.1

I think we need the OP to tell us urgently if this is a case of a house move causing a judgment in default, or whether it's a case of ignoring all the court papers served on them. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. This smells like a residential case/car park/ "own space", was it?Also as above need to know if the missed papers were a result of a house move or just ignoring everyhtingFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I didn’t know anything about it the first I heard about the ccj was the letter i have posted, it was a parking fine that was given on private property it wasn’t to do with moving house etc.0

But have you changed address?
The most common way people get these Default Judgments is because they change address and forget to update their vehicle's Registration Document (V5c). Get your V5c out and check that it has your correct address on it.
It was suggested yesterday that perhaps you had moved...Coupon-mad said:Sounds like you've moved and didn't tell PCM...

If the first you heard of it was the 2021 letter - what were you referring to in your original post about the fine being in 2018 and not hearing anything since January 2019 - does that mean you did hear something in January 2019?acr31x said:I didn’t know anything about it the first I heard about the ccj was the letter i have posted, it was a parking fine that was given on private property it wasn’t to do with moving house etc.
Have you checked your credit files as advised to see if there’s a ccj there - and if so when it was granted?1 -
I paid £257 to Empira on 7th October for a parking fine that I had not paid. Their letter date showed I had missed the '14 days to pay'. On 15th October I opened another letter dated 1st October saying they were going back to court for another enforcement which would be a further £124 as I had not paid the fine.
When I noticed the letter date which was a week before I paid I was confused... or questioning?.... Why should I receive a letter two weeks after the date of the letter? This reminded me that I was surprised about the date on their previous letter as that did not arrive the normal postal time after it was dated on the letter. I cannot prove this as there is no date on the envelope.
We all need to keep a note of the date on their letters and the dates we received them.....
Since I have paid the £257 can they really now go to court for more money?
