GNE move to EDF

All the phone numbers you could possibly need for EDF https://www.edfenergy.com/for-home/help-support/contact-usMichaelWade said:Embebe - how did you contact EDF? When I have contacted them by phone I have had no luck getting hold of people who are able to help me or who even seem interested in helping me. Would be keen to know if there is another route I could try
If the person is unable to assist you, then I suggest you follow the EDF complaint procedure0 -
My experience says raise a detailed complaint and use quote's from their be literature. Ensure all contact includes all email contact as one thread. Give them a time period to answer in. Do not be fobbed off.0

Ha, that's brilliant! I've been moved from GNE to EDF but have not had my first bill from EDF yet. I've just been looking into the 'exclusive' two year fixed tariff they've offered ex-GNE customers. It's obviously far higher than my current tariff so unless I'm misunderstanding this I think it's best to stay put until the end date of September then switch then. Unless they honour this tariff until 2029! Yeah right.... :-)0

Just received my first bill from EDF after the switch from GNE. I too have the 2029 end date on there? Surprised to see I was apparently £200 in debit with my final GNE bill (don’t remember seeing this). Also my bill has an estimated start meter reading even though I supplied the actual readings to EDF when they requested them at the time of switching! I’ll be trying to contact them soon. Anyone know if we can have a look at our older bills and meter readings with GNE?0

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6236076/green-network-energy-is-ceasing-to-tradeYou'll find examples of other people's first EDF bills there (mine is on page 50 of the thread) showing what we've received and discussing how it's been worked out.As far as I'm aware, the GNE bills have not been accessible since the GNE website was switched off. If you didn't download copies then, there is no simple way to get hold of them. If it's important you could try contacting the GNE administrators but if your only query is the change-over meter reading then it's probably not worth it; you'll have to pay one company or another for the gas, and the difference in tariffs is likely to be small.N. Have a look through your email inbox as well as spam. My GNE bills all came as attachments to emails.QrizB said:As far as I'm aware, the GNE bills have not been accessible since the GNE website was switched off. Any news on the 2029 end date please? Clearly many of us have it.0

Part of the be complaint I have with EDF is they have not migrated my account/tariff on a like for like basis.
My GNE tariff was a fixed price one.0 -

The EDF tariffs are all variable but are fixed until the end of September. So they are fixed, albeit not in name. If you played your cards right when you joined you may have had an extension on the original fix. Mine was due to expire in June, its now extended until end of September.
