Cancelled flight, waiting for refund

Hello, my Easy Jet outbound flight has been cancelled for a trip in October. Lastminute.com tell me to request a refund and that it may take longer than usual to receive it. I have clicked on the "request a refund" button but have heard no more for weeks. There is no option to request a different flight. I am worried that if I wait for the refund before booking an alternative flight, I may not find one. But if I re-book, might they only offer me vouchers? Which by then will be of no use. Any thoughts or advice gratefully received. Thank you.

Thank you, I just tried that now, it tells me to contact the third party that I booked with...

From whom..?

If you booked through Lastminute, they are the ones who will have to obtain the refund from easyJet and pass it on to you, minus any fees.

I do wish you luck, and in future it's advisable never to book flights with a low cost carrier other than on their own website, and particularly avoiding an outfit with such terrible customer service as Lastminute, and especially during a time when flights are frequently cancelled.
