Viagogo won't cancel my order

I bought 3 concert tickets from viagogo UK unknowing they are not good trader. The concert has postponed from 2021 to 2022. I tried to cancel my order but, they won't cancel and only suggested to resale tickets. However, viagogo website has discribed that the tickets are prohibited of resale. I think this is a fraud because they sell and recommend resale, knowing that the tickets are prohibited of resale. Further, I've ordered tickets with selection of seats number but, they said that if they couldn't keep the seats, they will arrange any other seats after requiest cancel. That mean is that they don't keep the ticket and this transaction is very disadvantageous to me. I used my credit card. I consulted the credit card company but, they couldn't stop my paying without asking from viagogo.
I am at a loss as what to do next. Your advice and help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,

Sadly not much you can do.
Viagogo have resold the tickets to you already. As not aware of them being anything other than a reseller. Which in the vast majority of cases is against the original booking anyway.Life in the slow lane0 -
Many thanks for your reply.
I have not got any tickets only words "order confirmed". Further, viagogo website has discribed that the tickets are prohibited of resale. I think this is a fraud because they sell and recommend resale, knowing that the tickets are prohibited of resale, I think.
Is it possible to sue for cancellation because of this contradiction?
Many thanks,0 -

Many thanks,
They have to put "prohibited of resale" as they got slapped by competition watchdog.

Many thanks,
Its normally sellers on her who no longer have tickets being charged a fortune for replacement ones.
As they are not a UK company then UK laws do not apply.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
They have quite a clear warning before you get as far as paying for your tickets, on the ones I looked at.“Prices include estimated VAT and booking fee, exclude delivery feeUnder 16s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Resale of tickets is prohibited for this event. Please note your ticket may be invalid for entry to the Event. It's only in rare cases that customers have been refused entry to events similar to this, although those events may not have had resale restrictions. You will be protected by our guarantee if you attempt entry and are refused. That’s our promise - enjoy the Event”
You can’t really say you weren’t warned. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
All true, but isn't the point here that the event is no longer going ahead? It has been moved by 12 months.0
-
It is going ahead, just on a different date.
But the OP did not buy from an authorised seller of the tickets. He bought from a second hand marketplace.
We're the world’s largest secondary marketplace for tickets to live events. Prices are set by sellers and may be below or above face value. Can I cancel or change my purchase? It’s not possible to cancel or exchange tickets once a purchase has been made as orders are considered final.
If you cannot use the tickets you purchased and there is still time before the event date, we advise you to re-list them by clicking on the "Sell" link on the event that you have tickets for.
We will market your tickets on our platform to find a new buyer.
We do not charge any fees for relisting tickets that you have originally purchased from us.
Occasionally there may be reasons why the tickets can't be re-listed but it's usually because the event date is too near to allow secure delivery or upload to the buyer.0 -
Ah, but it also says "You will be protected by our guarantee if you attempt entry and are refused..." Suggest the OP go to the venue on the date on the tickets and when refused entry claim under that guarantee.
May seem a bit frivolous, but the OP bought tickets for an event at the O2 arena (or wherever) on 1 September (or whenever) and so should be able to go there on that date and get entry.0 -
Slight problem. He does not have tickets .
I have not got any tickets only words "order confirmed"

Good point ! So the OP is even more likely to be refused entry...0
